LexPlastics Receives Governor's Safety and Health Award

The Kentucky Labor Cabinet presented LexPlastics with the Governor's Safety and Health Award. The award celebrates the achievement of 709,429 hours worked by LexPlastics employees without a lost-time injury or illness. The Governor's Safety and
Health Award recognizes Kentucky's employers and employees for outstanding safety and health performance in the workplace.
"Each of these awards represents a milestone reached toward the ultimate goal of making safe and healthy worksites the norm for Kentucky's workers," said Labor Cabinet Secretary David A. Dickerson. "I applaud LexPlatics for their efforts and results in
promoting the importance of safety and health in the workplace."
Located in Lexington, LexPlastics is a custom injection molding company that began production in 1980. LexPlastics has a team that offers 40 years of experience providing mold design, program management, and injection molding to customers.
"LexPlastics is pleased to announce the accomplishment of our seventh consecutive year without a lost time accident," said General Manager Wayne Sweasy. "We attribute this achievement to a proactive safety program along with the positive culture of our
company. Each employee embraces the mindset that safety begins with 'me.'"
Senator Ralph Alvarado (Lexington) also offered praise. "I would like to extend my congratulations to LexPlastics for receiving this outstanding achievement. The Governor's Safety and Health Award honors the best of the best in the Commonwealth. Our
