KyCorn Announces Scholarship Recipients

The Kentucky Corn Board of Directors announced its 2018 scholarship recipients.This is the seventh year KyCorn has provided scholarships for students in an agricultural field of study.
A new college scholarship was added this year in honor of the late Jim Barton, KyCorn founding member and longtime promotion council chairman.
Recipients are children of KyCorn member families. Scholarship awards, which totaled $6,000 this year, are funded by board and council member contributions.
The recipients are:
- Mary Hinton, Breckinridge Co., $2,000 Jim Barton Memorial Scholarship. She studies agriculture education at Western Kentucky University.
- Leah Collins, Warren Co. $2,000 KyCorn Scholarship. She studies animal science at Murray State University.
- Abbey Dickerson, Warren Co., $1,000 KyCorn Scholarship. She plans to study agriculture education at the University of Kentucky
- Kathryn Reding, LaRue Co., $1,000 KyCorn Scholarship. She plans to study agriculture biotechnology at the University of Kentucky.
