Kentuckians Invited to 'Freshest Party in Town'
Kentucky Ag Connection - 07/15/2019

A summer advertising campaign from Kentucky Proud, the state's official agricultural marketing program, invites all Kentuckians to "the freshest party in town" -- Kentucky's farmers' markets.

"Kentucky's local food movement is real, and it's visible in Kentucky's thriving farmers' market scene," said Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles. "Kentucky's farmers' markets enable Kentuckians to get healthy, fresh food while supporting local farmers at the same time. Kentucky has more than 165 markets in 113 counties, so I hope this new advertising campaign will get Kentuckians to visit the freshest party in their town."

The campaign includes video and radio spots as well as limited TV and print buys. The campaign will run for nine weeks, driving consumers to make direct farm purchases at a registered Kentucky Proud farmers' market. The marketing plan also includes ads on social media.

The video was shot by ThoughtFly of Louisville and was filmed at farmers' markets in St. Matthews and Simpsonville.

The video was funded by the Kentucky Agricultural Development Fund.
