Kentucky Ag News Headlines
UK CAFE Returning to Kentucky State Fair
Kentucky Ag Connection - 08/13/2019

New and exciting things will be happening in the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, Food and Environment's booth in AgLand at the Kentucky State Fair.

The booth will feature interactive educational exhibits and demonstrations related to the UK Grain and Forage Center of Excellence and multiple horticultural practices for small, urban growers and commercial producers. Family and Consumer Sciences extension agents and specialists will be in the booth each day with helpful tips on ways individuals and families can lead healthier lifestyles. Fairgoers can pose for pictures with some of their favorite UK and Kentucky scenes in the colleges' photo booth.

Various college specialists and extension associates will speak on the AgLand stage at 10 a.m. each day of the fair. They will then be available to answer fairgoers' questions and provide further demonstrations immediately following their presentations. Members of UK's Family and Consumer Sciences Extension will take the stage each day at 1 p.m. with recipe demonstrations from the Plate It Up! Kentucky Proud project. They will have a limited number of samples of the recipes for fair attendees immediately following the recipe demonstration.

AgLand contains more than an acre of exhibits in South Wing A highlighting Kentucky agriculture. In addition to the activities in the college booth, youth throughout the state will be highlighting some of their best work in 4-H Cloverville.
