National Mounted Police Colloquium Seeks Volunteers
Kentucky Ag Connection - 09/20/2018
The Kentucky Horse Park is gearing up for an exciting and honorable clinic held the last week of September - the National Mounted Police Colloquium. Officers from all over the U.S. and Canada come to the park with their mounts for a week of clinics and
classes followed by an intense competition! The last two days of the clinic are open to "civilians" that are invited to bring their personal horses and learn from the best Mounted Officers from around the country. The 2018 Mounted Police Colloquium is
September 24-30 and we need strong volunteer power to help make this week a success!
Large groups of volunteers (10+/shift) are needed Tuesday 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 5 p.m. for the Obstacle Course, Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. for Border Control Tracking as well as a Mounted Shooting activity.
Additional shifts assisting as "Arena Assistant" are available Monday-Friday as well.
All volunteers must be 16 or older, provide their own transportation and sign the online waiver. Sign up for shifts by following this link: https://givepul.se/dt3dp . Specific details for individual shifts will be sent out closer to date. Please contact Annie Martin with
any questions.
