Kentucky Organic Association Calls for Conference Proposals
Kentucky Ag Connection - 07/17/2019
The Organic Association of Kentucky (OAK) is seeking engaging, innovative, and educational presentations relevant to Kentucky's thriving regenerative agriculture community. OAK is now accepting proposals for sessions and short courses for the 9th Annual
OAK Conference on March 6 and 7, at the Marriott East in Louisville.
Its growing audience includes more than 300 participants: farmers, academics, government agencies, businesses and consumers from Kentucky and beyond who are working to build a local, more resilient and healthier food system. The program features farm
tours, short courses, more than 30 educational workshops, invited keynote speakers, a trade show, a festive reception and silent auction, and a special community film screening.
Session topics should address concepts, research, best practices, successes and challenges within organic and regenerative agriculture and pertain to one of our priority areas:
- Livestock and Forage
- Row Crops
- Produce Production
- Soil Health
- Homestead and Urban Agriculture
- Business of Farming
The primary focus of OAK Conference programming is farm production, business, and marketing topics; however, it also seeks to cover a broad range of issues relevant to the sustainable agriculture movement.
Submit proposals at www.oak-ky.org/conference-call-for-sessions or contact us with questions: info@oak-ky.org or (502) 517-9629.
