Kentucky On The Farm STEM offers a free, immersive learning opportunity focused on beef production, agriculture, and the science that supports it.
Designed specifically for Kentucky science educators, this one-day professional development program provides a fully funded, hands-on experience that connects classroom learning with real-world agricultural practices.
Participants will explore agricultural concepts through direct interaction with beef producers and agricultural scientists, gaining valuable insight into how science is applied on working farms.
The program highlights practical examples that align with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), helping teachers bring more relevant and engaging content into their classrooms.
Educators will leave with ready-to-use knowledge and context to enhance student learning and spark interest in agricultural science. Applications for the 2026 program are due by Friday, April 17.
Interested educators can apply online and reach out to program coordinator Bradon Burks at bburks@kycattle.org.
