The Kentucky Agriculture Training School (KATS), in collaboration with the Hopkins County Cooperative Extension Office, is pleased to announce a Drone Pilot Certification Workshop. This two-day intensive program, designed for individuals seeking to become certified remote pilots with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), will be held on June 10th and 11th at the Hopkins County Extension Office in Madisonville, Kentucky.
Led by Mandy Briggs, Assistant Chief Flight Instructor at Parkland College's Institute of Aviation, the workshop offers participants a comprehensive learning experience. Ms. Briggs boasts a remarkable track record, with her students achieving a success rate of over 99% on the FAA certification exam.
The workshop fee is $400, and certified crop advisors attending the program will be eligible for 12 continuing education units in precision agriculture. The FAA certification exam itself is a separate fee of $175, scheduled for the afternoon of June 11th.
This workshop presents an exceptional opportunity for individuals in Kentucky to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to earn their drone pilot certification. Space is limited, so interested parties are encouraged to register early.
