The Fleming County Farmers Market is set to kick off its 2025 season with Opening Day on Saturday, June 14, from 8 AM to 1 PM. This eagerly anticipated event promises a vibrant atmosphere, offering local residents a fantastic opportunity to connect with area producers and discover the freshest seasonal crops and unique, handcrafted goods.
Located conveniently at the Fleming County Extension Office Parking Lot on 1384 Elizaville Rd., the market will be a hub of community activity.
Shoppers can look forward to a diverse selection of produce straight from local farms, ensuring peak freshness and flavor. Beyond fresh fruits and vegetables, visitors will find a variety of locally handmade items, perfect for gifts or personal treats.
The market will also be accepting Senior Vouchers and WIC Vouchers, making fresh, healthy food accessible to more families. Additionally, the Kentucky Double Dollars program will be available, stretching purchasing power even further.
For those unable to make the grand opening, the market will maintain its normal summer hours: Tuesdays from 4 PM to 7 PM (or until sellout) and Saturdays from 8 AM to 1 PM (or until sellout). For more information, contact April Wilhoit at 606-845-4641 or april.wilhoit@uky.edu.
