The Robinson Center for Appalachian Resource Sustainability (RCARS) is excited to invite families, youth, and the community to join them for their upcoming Field Day Week.
The event offers free farm tours, engaging demonstrations, and hands-on workshops, providing a fun and educational experience for all ages.
Field Day Week kicks off with the "Win With Wood" event on October 1, running from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., where participants can explore woodworking techniques and forest sustainability.
On October 2, Youth Science Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students a chance to engage in science-based activities and experiments.
The main event, Robinson Center Field Day, takes place on October 3 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., featuring farm tours, demonstrations, and agricultural insights.
Additionally, younger children will have the opportunity to enjoy "Pumpkin Days" with activities tailored for Head Start and preschoolers on October 3, and kindergarten and 1st-grade students on October 4.
