The Kentucky Agricultural Finance Corporation (KAFC) approved $1.8 million in loans at its recent board meeting. The loans will be used to finance a variety of agricultural projects across the state.
Six Agricultural Infrastructure loans totaling $1.4 million were approved. These loans will be used to finance the construction of new farm structures and the purchase of farm equipment. The loans will be used to finance projects in Graves and Shelby counties.
Four Beginning Farmer loans totaling $400,000 were also approved. These loans will be used to help new farmers get started in the business. The loans will be used to finance projects in Daviess, Madison, Meade, and Shelby counties.
The KAFC is a state-funded agency that provides financing to Kentucky farmers. The corporation offers a variety of loan programs to help farmers finance their operations.
