The Lincoln County Extension Office invites the public to attend a Farm Field Day on Wednesday, August 7 at 6:00 PM, hosted at the Chad McQueen Farm, located at 637 McMullin Road in Crab Orchard, Kentucky.
This community-focused event will offer a hands-on look at several key areas of farm management and operations. Highlights include a live demonstration of cattle handling facilities led by Dr. Pettit, a display and discussion of hay equipment provided by John Deere, and a presentation on winter feeding structures by Dr. Higgins. Attendees will also enjoy a scenic farm tour aboard hay wagons, guided by host Chad McQueen.
In addition to educational demonstrations, the evening promises fun for all ages with food, pedal pull competitions, and more family-friendly activities.
Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP by August 5 by contacting the Lincoln County Extension Office at 606-365-2447. For additional information, participants can reach out to Tyler Miller via email at tyler.miller@uky.edu.
This event provides a great opportunity for local farmers, families, and community members to come together, learn about modern farming practices, and enjoy a summer evening on the farm.
