The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce's President and CEO, Ashli Watts, has been selected to emcee the upcoming Fancy Farm Picnic, scheduled for August 2, 2025.
This high-profile event is held annually in Fancy Farm, Kentucky, and draws major political leaders from across the state for speeches and discussions in front of a highly engaged public audience.
The event also serves as a fundraiser for St. Jerome Catholic Church, attracting residents, candidates, and officials alike.
Watts' selection was announced through an official press release by the picnic organizers, marking another milestone in her leadership role.
Watts has served as president and CEO of the Kentucky Chamber since 2019. The organization represents over 3,800 businesses and actively engages with lawmakers on economic issues. In 2024 and 2025, the Chamber led lobbying expenditures in the Kentucky General Assembly.
Watts has contributed significantly to legislative successes in the state, including efforts around right-to-work laws, tax reform, and felony expungement. Her ability to bridge business and policy has positioned her as a key voice in Kentucky’s public affairs.
“Ashli’s experience and poise make her the ideal choice to guide this year’s political speaking,” said Steven Elder, political chairman of the picnic. “Her leadership and deep understanding of Kentucky’s political landscape will bring energy, fairness, and insight to this year’s event.”
In previous years, the event has been emceed by figures such as Lexington’s Father Jim Sichko and Kentucky Venues President David Beck. Watts joins this list as the first Chamber president to lead the event.
The Fancy Farm Picnic continues to blend politics, community, and tradition, offering Kentuckians a unique platform to engage with their leaders in a festive, rural setting.
