Kentucky Farm Bureau Fights Alzheimer's

With over 5 million Americans affected by Alzheimer's disease, including 90,000 individuals in Kentucky and Southern Indiana, the Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB) stands proud in its commitment to combat this devastating illness. Since 2014, KFB has partnered with The Alzheimer's Association - Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter, dedicating themselves to research, risk reduction, early detection, and quality care.

Driven by its employee-led initiatives, KFB actively participates in the Walk to End Alzheimer's, the largest event worldwide to raise awareness, funds, and support for Alzheimer's care and research. With over 600 Walk events scheduled nationwide in 2023, KFB's engagement exemplifies their dedication to the community and their shared commitment to fight Alzheimer's.

Nicki Whitmire, KFB Insurance's Vice President of Human Resources and Support Services, expressed the significance of their involvement, stating that the Walk to End Alzheimer's allows their employees to connect with and raise funds for the people they care about in the community.

Shannon White, the chapter executive of The Alzheimer's Association's Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter, lauded the collaboration with KFB, emphasizing the organization's enthusiasm and unwavering support.

Since their partnership's inception, the KFB ALZStars team has made a remarkable impact by raising nearly $77,000 for the Alzheimer's Association. Through their collective efforts, KFB and The Alzheimer's Association are making strides in raising awareness, providing care and support, and advancing crucial research to ultimately bring an end to Alzheimer's disease.
