Farm Credit Mid-America has announced the results of its 2025 Board of Directors election, with Kentucky farmer Amanda Gajdzik of Shelbyville being newly elected to represent the state. Gajdzik brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from her work in row crop farming and agri-tourism.
She raises corn, soybeans, and cattle, and also operates apple and peach orchards. In addition, she runs an on-farm market and a commercial kitchen, making her farming business both innovative and community-focused. Her election highlights the increasing role of diversified and value-added agriculture in Kentucky.
Gajdzik will now serve a four-year term as part of a 15-member Board of Directors, which also includes two appointed outside directors. This board is responsible for setting the policies and strategic direction of the cooperative, ensuring that its services align with the needs of its customer-owners.
In addition to board elections, several Kentuckians were also elected to the 2026 Nominating Committee. This committee helps select candidates for future elections and plays an important role in shaping the leadership of Farm Credit Mid-America.
The newly elected Kentucky members of the 2026 Nominating Committee are Steven Bach, Alice Maze Porter, Chris Mitchell, Aaron Tucker, and Greg Wilson. Their participation reflects the strong involvement of Kentucky farmers in agricultural governance and leadership.
Farm Credit Mid-America serves rural communities across multiple states, supporting the growth and resilience of agriculture through loans, insurance, and advisory services. With leaders like Amanda Gajdzik, the cooperative continues to stay connected to the evolving needs of its members.
