Calling all alfalfa, forage, and hay producers! The University of Kentucky's Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture hosts the annual Kentucky Alfalfa and Stored Forage Conference 2024 on February 8th, aiming to elevate your hay production and business. 

This day-long event, running from 8 AM to 3:15 PM CST at the Warren County Extension Office in Bowling Green, delves into "Getting Started in the Hay Business." Gain valuable insights from UK forage specialists, experienced farmers, and industry experts on: 

  • Maximizing hay yield and production 
  • Effective marketing and promotion strategies 
  • Soil and grass management techniques 
  • Operating a successful hay and straw farm 
  • Meeting equine nutritional requirements 
  • Finding and evaluating equipment 
  • Fertilization best practices 

Network with fellow producers: Learn from established hay and alfalfa producers during a panel discussion showcasing their unique approaches to business success. 

Enjoy additional resources: The conference offers lunch, awards, exhibits, and a silent auction for a well-rounded experience.
