Kentucky Proud Cookout Tent Returns to Kentucky State Fair

Kentucky Proud Cookout Tent Returns to Kentucky State Fair

The Great Kentucky Proud Cookout Tent is returning to the Kentucky State Fair this year, offering a wide variety of delicious dishes made with locally grown and raised ingredients. The tent will be in The Backyard just outside the South Wing in Parking Lot A.

The menu will feature items from several Kentucky commodity groups, including fried catfish, rib-eye sandwiches, grilled sweet corn, fried chicken, grilled cheese, and pork burgers. All the dishes are made with ingredients that are grown and raised on Kentucky farms.

In addition to the delicious food, the Great Kentucky Proud Cookout Tent will also be the site of the Commodity Breakfast, which kicks off the beginning of the State Fair each year. During the Commodity Breakfast, constitutional officers come together to serve up a delicious Kentucky breakfast for those in attendance.

The Great Kentucky Proud Cookout Tent is a great way to support Kentucky agriculture and enjoy a delicious meal at the same time. The tent will be open each day of the State Fair, from August 17-27.

Here are the producers and groups that will be under the tent this year:

Kentucky Aquaculture Association

Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association

Kentucky Corn Growers Association

Kentucky Dairy Development Council

Kentucky Pork Producers

Kentucky Poultry Federation

Kentucky Department of Agriculture

The Dairy Alliance
