The Kentucky Center for Agriculture and Rural Development (KCARD) will host a Planning for Farm Diversification workshop on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the Greenup County Cooperative Extension Office, located at 35 Wurtland Avenue, Greenup, KY 41144.

This one-day event is aimed at farmers interested in exploring new opportunities in produce farming or livestock operations for value-added products.

The workshop will provide participants with practical guidance on several key areas, including business planning and marketing strategies, production and resource management, building a supportive network for diversification success, and available funding opportunities.

These sessions are designed to equip farmers with the knowledge and tools needed to successfully expand and diversify their operations.

Doors will open at 8:30 a.m., and the program will run until 4:00 p.m. local time, with lunch provided for attendees. The interactive sessions will allow farmers to connect with experts, ask questions, and learn actionable strategies to strengthen their farm businesses.

Pre-registration is required to attend. Interested participants can register online or contact KCARD at 859-550-3972 or by email at kcard@kcard.info for more information. This workshop represents a valuable opportunity for farmers seeking to innovate and grow their operations in Kentucky.
