Record crowds flock to sold-out national farm machinery show

By Blake Jackson

The 2024 National Farm Machinery Show, the nation's largest indoor farm trade exhibition, drew crowds at the Kentucky Exposition Center from Feb. 14-17. Boasting a sell-out of all available exhibit space, over 800 exhibitors showcased their products across 10 exhibit halls. The 55th Championship Tractor Pull, presented by Farm Credit Mid-America, achieved record-breaking ticket sales, hosting sold-out shows.

The Kentucky Exposition Center underwent a striking transformation, featuring a captivating display of farm equipment and cutting-edge agricultural technology, with the participation of international exhibitors. Attendees explored the Gift & Craft Market for a variety of items, from toys to apparel. Health screenings provided by Raising Hope were available in the West Hall, offering potentially lifesaving services.

With an estimated economic impact of $24.2 million, the show ranked as the sixth-largest contributor to Louisville's events. Attendance exceeded 300,000, drawing visitors from across North America and international attendees from countries such as the Republic of Korea, France, and Argentina. The final attendance figures will be disclosed on March 1, 2024.
