UK Hosts Ag is for All Conference 2025 for High School Students

By Blake Jackson

The University of Kentucky’s Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment (CAFE), in collaboration with the Office of Access, Community and Engagement and the UK Center for Student Success, will host the fourth annual Ag is for All Conference on Nov. 4.

This event is tailored for high school students interested in exploring academic programs at Martin-Gatton CAFE, offering a hands-on introduction to UK’s dynamic agriculture environment.

“The Ag is for All Conference wasn’t created just to showcase our resources; it was designed to bring them directly to prospective students and their families,” said Kendriana Price, assistant dean for community relations and engagement at Martin-Gatton CAFE.

“As they navigate the important journey of choosing a college, we want to ensure our future Wildcats have everything they need to make a confident and informed decision.”

The conference aims to assist students with college applications, scholarship opportunities, and completing financial aid forms. Participants will also engage with current faculty, staff, and students, gaining insights into academic programs and campus life.

“For me, the Ag is for All Conference is about opening doors to help future students find support, resources and a sense of community here at the University of Kentucky in the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment,” said Nijae Aklin, a senior in Equine Science and Management.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Gatton Student Center. Interested students can register online. Groups larger than 10 can contact Kendriana Price at kendriana.price@uky.edu for a bulk rate.

“This conference offers more than an introduction,” Price said. “It reflects our strong community and dynamic learning environment. It’s a first glimpse into the experience that awaits, where students are supported, encouraged and inspired to grow from day one.”
