The Kentucky Corn Growers Association proudly announced that Brandon Hunt of Herndon, Kentucky, has been elected to the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) Board of Directors. Hunt makes history as the first farmer from Kentucky to earn a seat on the national board.
“It’s an honor to represent Kentucky corn farmers on the national stage,” said Hunt. “I’m committed to working collaboratively with growers across the country to protect our long-term profitability, push for smart innovation, and ensure farmers’ perspectives stay at the heart of national policy decisions.”
Hunt has long been a leader and strong advocate within Kentucky agriculture. His election reflects the growing influence of Kentucky producers in national conversations about farming policy and innovation.
Hunt and his family run a multi-generational farming operation, producing corn, soybeans, wheat, tobacco, and hemp. Hunt’s real-world experience managing a large-scale row crop farm has helped shape his approach to leadership-one grounded in collaboration, adaptability, and a strong commitment to his fellow farmers.
Hunt is dedicated to promoting agricultural research, sustainable practices, and economic viability for growers. He also places great emphasis on improving communication and cooperation within the industry, ensuring that grassroots voices are well-represented in policy decisions.
Hunt upcoming role on the NCGA Board will provide him with an opportunity to help steer the direction of national initiatives that affect corn growers across the U.S. Hunt’s three-year term will officially begin in October 2025.
