The Kentucky Corn Growers Association (KYCGA) and the Kentucky Small Grain Growers Association (KYSGGA) have announced Camryn Manion as their new Communications Director.
Manion succeeds Kate McIndoo Pride, who has chosen to join her family’s farming operation full-time after several years of dedicated service. Pride will now be working alongside her father on Windimere Farms, continuing her family’s three-generation legacy in agriculture.
Reflecting on her transition, Pride shared, “I traded occasional buddy seat rides for long days, a completely different career, and a much deeper respect for the work that’s been done before me.” Both organizations expressed gratitude for her leadership and commitment to advancing Kentucky’s agricultural community.
As Communications Director, Manion will oversee strategic communications, media relations, and public outreach for both KYCGA and KYSGGA. “It’s a pleasure to be joining such a great team, working for the industry I know and love, and I look forward to supporting Kentucky agriculture in new and exciting ways with this role!” Manion said.
A fifth-generation agriculturalist, Manion brings deep-rooted experience and passion to her new position. A graduate of Murray State University’s Hutson School of Agriculture, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, graduating summa cum laude. Her undergraduate research focused on language barriers in agriculture, an area reflecting her dedication to inclusivity within the industry.
The Manion family continues to operate their western Kentucky farm, producing corn, wheat, and soybeans, raising cattle, and maintaining a small peach orchard.
Professionally, Manion has held communications roles at the Kentucky Farm Bureau, an advertising agency in Nashville, and most recently worked as an account manager at a landscape design firm.
“I’m excited to be back in my home state and back in agriculture. Farmers work incredibly hard and certainly face a lot of challenges, so I take my role very seriously in doing my small part to aid the industry,” Manion said.
