ECTC Announces Magnolia Bank Scholarship

Elizabethtown Community and Technical College (ECTC) has partnered with Magnolia Bank to announce the Magnolia Bank Empowering Opportunity Scholarship.

As a community-minded business, Magnolia Bank recognizes that advancing area education is a crucial endeavor and remains a steadfast ECTC partner, said Magnolia Bank President and Chief Bank Executive Deena London.

"Our purpose is to Empower Opportunity in the communities we serve," London said. "This scholarship is about empowering future business leaders with the hope that they make a positive difference in our region for many years to come."

Awarded annually, the scholarship is available to high school graduates and provides funding for tuition and books. The student selected to receive this $500 scholarship must be a new or current student at ECTC, a resident of Hardin or LaRue County, and enrolled as a business major. Eligible students must also have an unmet financial need, with an Estimated Family Contribution of $6,500 or less as determined by the FAFSA.

"Magnolia Bank and the communities in which we live and work depend on a quality workforce," said ECTC Chief Institutional Advancement Officer Megan Stith. "We're grateful for the opportunity to work with local organizations and scholarship donors like Magnolia Bank who feel it's important to invest in the next generation."

The Magnolia Bank Empowering Opportunity Scholarship and all ECTC scholarships require a KCTCS username, which can be obtained by completing the college's free admissions application. The priority deadline to apply for 2022-23 scholarships is Feb. 28.
