The Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB) Education Foundation has announced a record-breaking year for its post-secondary education scholarship program.
In collaboration with county Farm Bureaus, the Foundation awarded scholarships to 601 graduating high school seniors across the state, totaling $810,150 at both state and county levels. This milestone brings the cumulative amount awarded since the program began in 1953 to over $3.9 million.
“Our investment in young people is an investment in the future of Kentucky. We’re proud to support these outstanding students who are working hard today, and who are well on their way to becoming the leaders of tomorrow," said Eddie Melton, KFB President.
"Whether their academic paths lead them to agriculture or another field, Kentucky Farm Bureau is honored to walk beside them as they take their next steps.”
Scholarships were granted to students attending Kentucky colleges or universities, with several criteria for eligibility.
These included students pursuing degrees in agriculture or related disciplines, students entering four-year programs in animal health or veterinary technology, and students from farm families.
A total of 110 county Farm Bureaus participated in awarding scholarships to local students in their communities. For a full list of the 2025 scholarship recipients by county, visit the Kentucky Farm Bureau’s official website.
