A free online webinar scheduled for February 18, 2026, from 12 to 1 p.m. ET will highlight how farmers and land managers can partner with the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to strengthen conservation efforts on their operations.
The session is designed for certified organic producers, farms transitioning to organic certification, and those currently using or exploring organic practices.
During the webinar, conservation specialists from OAK and NRCS staff will outline a range of programs and services available to producers, growers, and graziers.
Topics will include conservation practices, customized contracts, support for organic transition, and whole-farm conservation planning. Presenters will explain how NRCS works with farms to develop solutions tailored to individual operations and production goals.
Henry County farmer Joseph Monroe of Valley Spirit Farm will also share his firsthand experience working with NRCS since 2016. Monroe will discuss how NRCS partnerships helped him implement rotational grazing systems, improve forage quality, enhance crop pollination, increase plant and wildlife diversity, and develop sustainable water systems for both livestock and crops.
The webinar is open to participants at all experience levels. Those already familiar with NRCS programs will gain insights on maximizing future contracts, while newcomers will learn practical steps for establishing productive relationships with NRCS staff.
The session will be recorded for those unable to attend live, making it a convenient learning opportunity for a wide audience.
