Kentucky Ag Connection - 05/18/2017
The Kentucky Horse Park Commission announced a new Strategic Plan for the Kentucky Horse Park, which was approved and adopted at the Commission's April 20, 2017 meeting.
"I commend the Kentucky Horse Park Commission on developing a plan that not only reflects a strong commitment to man's relationship with the horse, but also focuses on good stewardship and long-term growth at the park," said Don Parkinson, secretary of
the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet.
The Strategic Plan is the result of discussions with various entities held in the fall of 2016 and winter of 2017. The Commission's Strategic Planning Committee was chaired by Dr. Nancy Cox and facilitated by Dr. Lori Garkovitz of the University of Kentucky,
who led the discussions and was instrumental in summarizing the results.
"The Strategic Plan will serve as a valuable tool to engage both the Commission members and the staff of the Kentucky Horse Park in becoming committed to measurable goals and establishing priorities for the park," said Tandy Patrick, chair of the Kentucky
Horse Park Commission.
