The Kentucky FFA Foundation announced that ADM will provide $30,000 to support expanded agriscience and leadership opportunities for FFA members across Kentucky.
ADM is a multinational company involved in sourcing, transporting, processing, and transforming agricultural commodities into food and beverage ingredients. The company operates a regional facility in Northern Kentucky, where it develops and manufactures ingredients for the food and beverage industries.
Through its contribution, ADM will help strengthen two Kentucky FFA programs: the Agriscience Fair and Middle School Leadership Conferences.
The Agriscience Fair gives students an opportunity to investigate practical questions using research, experimentation, and scientific methods.
About 200 Kentucky FFA members participate in the state-level competition each year, while many additional students conduct projects through their local FFA programs.
Kentucky has regularly sent 15 to 20 students to the National FFA Agriscience Fair as finalists. This year, 24 Kentucky students qualified for the national competition. In 2025, a Bloomfield Middle School team earned third place nationally in the Food Products and Processing category.
ADM’s funding will also support two annual Middle School Leadership Conferences held each March. One takes place at Kentucky State University, while the other is hosted at the FFA Leadership Training Center in Hardinsburg.
FFA state officers organize and lead both events, giving younger members an early introduction to leadership and community involvement.
The conferences began in 2016 and have continued to grow, attracting nearly 400 middle school FFA members last year. The growth reflects the expanding reach of agricultural education programs throughout Kentucky.
The Kentucky FFA Foundation said ADM’s investment will help students explore agriculture, develop leadership skills, and discover opportunities that can prepare them for future careers in the industry.
