Akralos Brings Science Driven Feed Solutions

A new animal feed and nutrition company, Akralos Animal Nutrition, officially began operations on February 1. The company was formed through a joint venture between ADM and Alltech, two well-known leaders in global agriculture.

"Akralos brings together proven scale, innovation and infrastructure with a deep commitment to service and results," said Brian Gier Akralos chief executive officer, a leader with more than 30 years of experience in the commercial animal feed industry. "From day one, our focus is on delivering nutrition our customers can rely on, support they can count on and partnerships that help their animals and businesses thrive."

Akralos brings together several established feed businesses, including Hubbard Feeds in the United States, Masterfeeds in Canada, and ADM’s U.S. feed operations. This combination creates a large and experienced organization focused on high quality nutrition and customer focused solutions.

The company operates an extensive network of more than 40 feed mills across North America and employs over 1,400 people. Akralos offers feeds, minerals, and supplements supported by advanced research, leading science, and hands-on service.

Company leaders state that Akralos is committed to helping customers gain a clear advantage. Its teams work directly with customers to understand their needs and deliver tailored nutrition programs, consistent performance, and useful insights. These services are supported by strong research and development, efficient logistics, and broad connections within the agri food system.

The partnership builds on a long-standing relationship between ADM and Alltech that began in 1980. By combining their strengths, Akralos aims to serve producers, retailers, and animal owners more effectively across North America.

Hubbard Feeds and Masterfeeds will continue as the main customer facing brands. Ongoing product alignment will allow both brands to grow while benefiting from shared science and operational support.

Akralos’ long-term goal is to become a trusted name in animal nutrition by delivering dependable products, strong partnerships, and practical solutions that support sustainable and profitable operations.
