Kentucky Equine Groups Gain Support from New Partnership

Gilded Horse has announced a new charitable partnership with two leading Kentucky equine organizations—the Kentucky Horse Council (KHC) and the Kentucky Equine Adoption Center (KYEAC).

Under the agreement, 5% of the company’s net revenue will be donated annually, with the funds divided equally between the two nonprofits to support horses and the people who care for them across the Bluegrass State.

The partnership was inspired by a visit from founders Cassie and Mitch Allen to the Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event in April 2026. During the event, they met Kentucky Horse Council Executive Director Sarah Coleman and later toured the Kentucky Equine Adoption Center in Nicholasville, where they connected with Executive Director Carrie Wood and her team.

The organizations agreed to introduce the partnership together, reflecting their shared commitment to Kentucky’s equine community.

The Kentucky Horse Council, based in Lexington, provides assistance to horse owners facing financial hardship through programs that offer feed and hay support, euthanasia assistance, emergency rescue training, disaster response, and educational resources.

"We meet horse owners on their hardest days, when they can't afford feed or a vet bill and don't know where else to turn. A partner like The Gilded Horse means we get to say yes more often," said Sarah Coleman, Executive Director, Kentucky Horse Council.

The Kentucky Equine Adoption Center, located on a 72-acre farm in Nicholasville, rehabilitates horses, donkeys, mules, and miniature horses before placing them in permanent homes. Its Stable Foundations program prepares adopters with practical horse care education before adoption.

"Every horse that arrives at KYEAC has a story, and every one deserves the opportunity to begin a new chapter. Our mission is to create second chances through compassionate care, thoughtful rehabilitation, and successful adoption," said Carrie Wood, Executive Director, Kentucky Equine Adoption Center.

"We're grateful to The Gilded Horse for joining us in that mission and helping more horses find the futures they deserve."

The annual donation, beginning with a commitment retroactive to January 1, 2026, will be distributed each December.

Beyond financial support, the partnership also includes joint promotion and participation in equine events, reinforcing a shared mission to protect horses, strengthen the equestrian community, and create lasting opportunities for equine welfare throughout Kentucky.
