Kentucky Growers Invited to Appropriate Technology Field Day

Kentucky Growers Invited to Appropriate Technology Field Day

By Blake Jackson

The Organic Association of Kentucky (OAK), in partnership with the University of Kentucky’s Center for Crop Diversification (UK CCD), will host an Appropriate Technology Field Day on August 25, 2026, at the UK Horticulture Farm in Lexington, Kentucky.

The event will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET and is designed to help growers explore practical tools and technologies that can improve crop production and farm efficiency.

Attendees will participate in educational sessions, live field demonstrations, and a trade show featuring equipment for greenhouse transplant production as well as walk-behind and tractor-mounted seeding and transplanting systems.

The program will give growers the opportunity to compare equipment, watch it in action, and gain hands-on experience with a variety of tools that support modern farming practices.

The field day is intended for producers looking to improve their operations by learning about the latest innovations in planting and transplanting technology.

Registration is open through August 15, and eligible Kentucky growers can receive full reimbursement for both registration and travel expenses, making it an affordable opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and practical experience.
