Diagnosing turfgrass diseases can be challenging in the field, but it is even more problematic when relying on a small sample collected from the site. However, proper collection and submission of turfgrass samples can enhance the accuracy and timeliness of diagnosis; poor samples only make disease identification difficult or impossible.
This new publication communicates the types of information needed for disease diagnosis (photos and observations from the turfgrass site), how to properly collect representative samples, and the best way to mail turfgrass samples to preserve specimen integrity.
