Two Hardin County farms were approved for one of 18 agricultural loans at a recent Kentucky Agricultural Finance Corp. meeting.
The corporation approved $3,177,750 for the 18 loans, according to a news release from the Kentucky Department of Agriculture.
A Hardin County farm received $250,000 of $875,000 in a Agricultural Infrastructure loans approved, the release said. KAFC participates with lenders to provide financing to producers making capital expenditures for agricultural projects through the AILP.
Eligible projects include permanent farm structures with attached equipment that improves the profitability of farming operations. Producers may be eligible for up to $250,000 not to exceed 50% of the project.
A Hardin County farm was one of 12 Beginning Farmer Loan Program awards approved totaling $2,015,250. The Hardin project received $52,000, the release said.
