World's Largest Livestock Expo Opens in Louisville

Thousands will gather through Nov. 21 to show livestock at the 46th annual North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE), which opened Tuesay at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville..

The first expo took place in 1974 and featured one division -- beef cattle. Now the competition is the largest all-breed, purebred livestock event in the world. It includes 10 livestock divisions with competitors from around the country.

The price to attend is $6 for adults. Children 12 and under are free. Parking is $10 per vehicle.

NAILE kicked off with the North American Quarter Horse Show Tuesday morning. It runs through Nov. 8.
