Expand Farm Sales Through Kentucky Marketing Webinar

Expand Farm Sales Through Kentucky Marketing Webinar

By Blake Jackson

The University of Kentucky will host a free webinar, “Beyond Direct Sales: Market Pathways for Diversified Kentucky Farms,” on October 6, 2026, from 12 to 1:30 p.m. ET.

The online event is designed to help Kentucky farmers explore marketing opportunities beyond traditional direct-to-consumer sales.

Participants will learn about selling farm products to restaurants, schools, retailers, institutions, distributors, produce auctions, and other wholesale markets.

Using real-world Kentucky examples, presenters will discuss key factors buyers consider, including product quality, pricing, volume, food safety requirements, and delivery logistics.

The webinar will also highlight partnerships and resources that can help farms become market-ready and expand their customer base. Attendees will gain insights into potential marketing channels, common challenges farmers face when entering new markets, and practical steps for pursuing growth opportunities.

The program is presented by The Food Connection and the Center for Crop Diversification at the University of Kentucky in partnership with OAK. Support is provided through the USDA Transition to Organic Partnership Program (TOPP) and the Kentucky Agricultural Development Fund (KADF).

There is no registration fee but advance registration is required. A recording of the webinar will also be made available to registered participants after the event.
