Farm to fork - Covington farmers market fundraiser

By Blake Jackson

The Covington Farmers Market is hosting its signature fundraising event, "Farm to Fork," on June 15th, 2024, at the scenic Monte Cassino Vineyard in Covington, Kentucky.

This event offers a chance to support the market while enjoying delicious food from local growers, drinks, live music, and a raffle. It's a perfect evening for adults 21 and over! Tickets include food, two drink tickets for alcoholic beverages, and complimentary non-alcoholic drinks. Guests can also explore the vineyard's grounds, tasting room, and museum.

Tickets are limited and available online at the link to tickets. Parking is available at the nearby Middendorf Funeral Home with a shuttle service to the venue.

The Covington Farmers Market plays a vital role in the community by:

  • Connecting residents with fresh, local food: It provides an opportunity for local farmers to sell their produce directly to consumers, ensuring both get a fair deal.
  • Supporting low-income residents: The market is the only one within 15 miles that accepts food assistance cards, increasing access to healthy food for all.
  • Promoting healthy eating: The market offers educational opportunities to help people learn about new vegetables and healthy meal preparation.
  • Supporting small businesses: The market serves as a launchpad for local farms and businesses, with many vendors going on to open successful brick-and-mortar stores in Covington.

By attending "Farm to Fork," you're not just enjoying a fun night out, you're contributing to a thriving local food system and a healthier community.
