The Kentucky Office of Agricultural Policy has scheduled a series of important meetings for May, combining both in-person and videoconference formats to accommodate diverse participation.
On Friday, May 10, the Kentucky Agricultural Finance Corp. (KAFC) Loan Review Committee will convene at 9 a.m. EDT at the Franklin County Extension Office in Frankfort, followed by KAFC's monthly business meeting at 10 a.m. EDT at the same location.
The following week, on Friday, May 17, the Kentucky Agricultural Development Board (KADB) Food Safety & Efficiency Committee will assemble at 8:30 a.m. EDT at the Franklin County Extension Office, with KADB's monthly business meeting following at 10 a.m. EDT. Additionally, the KADB Red and White Application Review Committees will convene sequentially after the monthly meeting's adjournment.
Later in the month, the KADB On-Farm Energy Committee will meet on Wednesday, May 22, at 9 a.m. EDT at the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Development office in Lexington, with remote participation available via videoconference.
Concluding the month's proceedings, the KADB Program Evaluation Committee will convene on Friday, May 24, at 9 a.m. EDT via videoconference, providing an opportunity for committee members to participate remotely.
These meetings signify a concerted effort by the Kentucky Office of Agricultural Policy to advance key initiatives and programs aimed at enhancing the state's agricultural landscape.
The inclusion of videoconference options underscores a commitment to accessibility and broader engagement in agricultural policy and development efforts.
