Kentucky opens 2026 clean water fund

Kentucky opens 2026 clean water fund

By Blake Jackson

The Kentucky Infrastructure Authority (KIA) and the Kentucky Division of Water (DOW) have announced the opening of the 2026 Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) for project submissions.

This Call for Projects will run from September 19, 2024, until December 13, 2024. All submissions must be made electronically, coordinated through the Area Water Management Councils, as paper submissions will not be accepted.

The State Revolving Fund programs offer competitive, low-interest loans for various projects, including those related to drinking water, wastewater, stormwater, and nonpoint source management.

Interested parties seeking funding from either SRF loan program are encouraged to work with their Area Development District to either update or create a Project Profile.

The DOW will use the information submitted in these profiles to evaluate and rank projects according to established criteria.

For any questions regarding the project profile or eligibility for inclusion on the priority list, please reach out to Hollie Delaney (hollie.delaney@ky.gov) at the Water Infrastructure Branch of the DOW.

For further details about loan requirements, terms, or eligibility, contact Sandy Williams (sandy.williams@ky.gov) or John Brady (john.brady@ky.gov) at the KIA.
