Bullitt County Public Schools is pleased to share that Kim Haire, a dedicated educator at Bullitt Lick Middle School, has been selected to join the Kentucky Department of Agriculture’s Agriculture Champion Educator (ACE) Program.
This selective, two-year professional development opportunity is open to Kentucky teachers with at least three years of classroom experience.
The ACE Program supports educators in bringing agriculture-related content into their teaching through agricultural literacy, hands-on learning, leadership development, and community connections.
Participants in the program will engage in a variety of experiences, including industry tours, advocacy events, and attending the National Ag in the Classroom Conference.
Ms. Haire’s selection reflects her strong commitment to the district’s Core Value of “Proactive Innovation.” She continually seeks ways to enrich student learning by integrating real-world agricultural education that connects with Kentucky’s rich farming traditions and future opportunities.
Amanda Nokes, Principal at Bullitt Lick Middle School, expressed her pride in Ms. Haire’s achievement:
“We are so proud of Ms. Haire. Her passion for agriculture education creates incredible opportunities for our students to connect learning to the world around them in truly authentic ways. This is a well-deserved recognition of her leadership and dedication.”
Bullitt County Public Schools celebrates Ms. Haire for her innovative approach to teaching and her efforts to develop students as Innovative Problem Solvers and Community Contributors.
