BW Fusion Acquires Seed Technology Firm

BW Fusion Acquires Seed Technology Firm

By Jamie Martin

BW Fusion has announced the acquisition of seed technology company, Low Mu Tech, which  specializes in carrier systems designed to deliver biological products and micronutrients directly to the seed. The move supports BW Fusion’s mission to provide modern, sustainable tools that help growers improve productivity while reducing environmental impact.

The newly acquired technology improves seed flow through planting equipment and significantly lowers dust levels during planting. Reduced dust not only improves planter performance but also helps protect equipment operators and surrounding environments from unnecessary exposure.

This carrier system is already used in one of BW Fusion’s biological seed treatment solutions that supports early plant growth, improves root development, and helps beneficial microbes reach the seed more efficiently. These early growth benefits can support stronger crops throughout the growing season.

“This acquisition is a natural extension of our strategy to lead with innovation, data, and sustainability,” said Darren Dillenbeck, CEO of BW Fusion. “Low Mu Tech’s Dust and Inclusion Carrier Technology™ gives us the platform to expand our seed care initiative and bring even more value to growers looking to replace outdated inputs with solutions that are better for their bottom line, their health, and the environment. This is how we farm now.” The goal is to help farmers use fewer resources while achieving better crop performance and higher return on investment.

The integration of this technology also strengthens BW Fusion’s “Less In More Out” approach. This philosophy focuses on reducing input dependency while increasing productivity through smarter biological solutions and data-supported decisions.

In addition, the company plans to continue developing next-generation seed coatings and biological delivery systems that improve both safety and efficiency. These innovations will help farmers improve planting accuracy, crop health, and sustainability outcomes.

The acquisition supports BW Fusion’s larger strategy of building a vertically integrated platform across crop nutrition, biological products, and data analytics. With an expanding footprint across North America, BW Fusion continues to play an active role in advancing modern agricultural practices.

“Our goal at Low Mu Tech has always been to create technologies that make farming cleaner, safer, and greener,” said Brian Tulley, Founder of Low Mu Tech. “Joining BW Fusion allows us to scale that vision with a partner who shares our passion for innovation and improving the grower experience from the ground up.”

Through this expansion, BW Fusion aims to provide practical, science-based tools that help farmers grow healthier crops, protect their land, and operate more efficiently in today’s evolving agricultural environment.
