The Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB) is seeking nominations for their 2024 Woman of the Year award. This annual recognition celebrates outstanding female leaders in Kentucky agriculture.
Honorees embody excellence, leadership, and innovation in the farming industry. To qualify, nominees must be actively involved in Kentucky farming or agriculture and be KFB members. Nominations, limited to one per member, are accepted until August 23rd.
A panel of out-of-state agricultural professionals will evaluate nominees based on their contributions in:
- Farm business management and productivity
- KFB involvement and leadership
- Participation in other agricultural activities
- Understanding of agricultural issues
- Community engagement
"This award highlights the remarkable achievements of women in Kentucky agriculture," said KFB President Eddie Melton. "Their generations of contributions are vital to the state's farming success. We're proud to recognize their well-deserved accomplishments."
The winner will be announced at the KFB Annual Meeting later this year. With nearly 475,000 member families, Kentucky Farm Bureau represents the state's largest general farm organization. To nominate an outstanding woman farmer, visit kyfb.com/farmwoman24.
