The 120th Kentucky State Fair concluded with a special focus on representing the state's 120 counties. The "Pride of the Counties" exhibit featured displays from 106 counties, showcasing the unique attributes of each region.
“It gives you a reason to go out, get in your car and drive around our state and see what makes every county special,” said Ian Cox, Kentucky State Fair spokesperson. Harrison County's display highlighted the area's fall attractions, including the popular destination of Cynthiana.
“To be able to represent Harrison County is a great honor at the state fair,” said Audrey Middletown of Cynthiana Tourism. “We’re getting to meet people from all over, and it is awesome to let people know who we are, where we’re at and how close it is."
Beyond the "Pride of the Counties" exhibit, all 120 counties were represented at the fair through various activities, including livestock shows and online ticket sales. This comprehensive representation ensured that the entire state was celebrated during the event.
