PTx Trimble Launches New NAV960 Guidance Controller

PTx Trimble Launches New NAV960 Guidance Controller

By Jamie Martin

PTx Trimble has launched the NAV-960 guidance controller, a powerful upgrade for precision agriculture.

Building on the success of the NAV-900, the NAV-960 offers enhanced speed, improved positioning accuracy, and increased processing power to support complex field operations.

Designed with a rugged cast aluminum base, the NAV-960 can withstand extreme farming conditions like heat, rain, dust, and cold. It features an upgraded GNSS engine that tracks more satellites and delivers up to 50% better positioning and line-following performance.

Farmers using the NAV-960 can reduce input costs by minimizing overlap, improve machine utilization, and cut operational downtime. This leads to greater productivity and reduced operator fatigue during long workdays.

"As the precision ag industry evolves, we are focused on innovative solutions that make it easier for farmers to tackle the critical challenges they face in the field, and to do so in a way that creates added value,” said Andrew Sunderman, VP of Product and Customer Experience.

Other highlights of the NAV-960 include Trimble’s ProPoint® technology with IonoGuard™ for resistance to solar disruptions, centimeter-level accuracy with RTX or RTK correction signals, and an advanced quad-core processor for faster data delivery. The system offers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for easier support and upgrades.

The NAV-960 is fully compatible with the GFX display series and fits into PTx Trimble’s mixed-fleet strategy, making it a strong investment for today and the future.
