The Kentucky Office of Agricultural Policy has announced its in-person meeting schedule for December. These meetings provide important updates and decisions related to agricultural financing, development programs, and committee reviews that support Kentucky’s agriculture sector.
On Friday, December 12, the Kentucky Agricultural Finance Corporation (KAFC) Loan Review Committee will meet at 9 a.m. EST. The meeting will take place at the Franklin County Extension Office, located at 101 Lakeview Court in Frankfort. This committee reviews loan applications and evaluates funding opportunities that support agricultural businesses across the state.
Following the loan review, KAFC’s monthly business meeting will begin at 10 a.m. This meeting typically covers financial reports, program updates, loan approvals, and other agenda items related to agricultural finance.
On Friday, December 19, the Kentucky Agricultural Development Board (KADB) will hold its monthly business meeting at 9 a.m. EST, also at the Franklin County Extension Office. KADB oversees investments and project approvals connected to Kentucky’s agricultural development initiatives.
Immediately after the business session, KADB’s Application Review and Compliance Committee will meet. This committee reviews project applications, evaluates compliance with funding requirements, and ensures that programs meet state goals for agricultural development.
These meetings allow state officials and board members to coordinate efforts, review proposals, and support strategies that strengthen Kentucky agriculture. They also offer an opportunity for public engagement and transparency regarding programs that assist agricultural operations, development projects, and long-term industry planning.
The Kentucky Office of Agricultural Policy encourages stakeholders to stay informed and participate when appropriate, as these meetings help guide decisions that impact agriculture and rural communities across the state.
