The Clay County Community Farmers Market in Manchester, Kentucky, is your go-to spot for locally grown produce and handcrafted items from the area.
Held every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the EXCEL Building, located at 86 Muddy Gap Road, the market offers a great opportunity for community members to connect with local farmers and artisans.
One unique feature of the market is the Community Table. This allows individuals who may not have time to sell their own produce to bring it to the market, where it will be sold for them.
For a small fee of $5.00, the market staff will manage the sales, allowing participants to return at the end of the day between 12:30 and 1:00 p.m. to collect any unsold produce and the money earned.
The market dates for this season include August 31, and each Saturday in September: September 7, 14, 21, and 28, 2024.
Whether you’re looking to support local agriculture or want to enjoy fresh, seasonal products, the Clay County Community Farmers Market is the perfect destination. For more information, you can contact the market at 606-598-2789 or email clay.ext@uky.edu.
