For 13 years, the Organic Association of Kentucky (OAK) has been the fertile ground for organic and regenerative agriculture in Kentucky. Their annual conference, returning to Kentucky State University's Harold R. Benson Farm January 25-27, 2024, is a vibrant harvest of practical tools, inspiration, and community.
"OAK was a game-changer," says Keith McKenzie, organic farmer and conference speaker. "Meeting established and emerging farmers, sharing wisdom and experiences – that's what it's all about."
Open to everyone passionate about sustainable farming, OAK 2024 boasts:
Three days of learning: Local and regional speakers, insightful panels, and hands-on workshops on topics like no-till cover cropping, high tunnels, regenerative grazing, and climate resilience.
Connecting the dots: Network with fellow farmers, food advocates, and experts, forging valuable connections that blossom into lasting collaborations.
Deepening your roots: Pre-conference workshops on January 25th offer immersive dives into specific areas, from seed growing to raising goats. See the full agenda and speakers online: oak-ky.org/agenda.
Keynote inspiration: Ardis and Henry Crews, champions of rural development, share their wisdom alongside seasoned organic farmers from across the region.
OAK Conference isn't just about information, it's about empowering action. Scholarships are available, and early bird pricing extends through December 15th, making this knowledge accessible to all.
Join OAK in Frankfort and watch your passion for organic and regenerative agriculture flourish. Registration information is available at oak-ky.org/annual-conference. Contact OAK with any questions: conference@oak-ky.org or 502-709-8732.
