Kentucky’s top Republican is promising action on the Farm Bill, but not by the original expected deadline.
Congress is running out of legislative days before the September 30 expiration of the current Farm Bill.
Sen. Mitch McConnell says the timeline is shifting to beyond September for reauthorizing the five-year bill that sets policy for farm, conservation, nutrition, and other areas overseen by the Agriculture Department.
The minority leader told the Kentucky Farm Bureau a deal will come together.
