Local farmers were recognized and FFA chapters benefited at the 63rd annual Farm-City Banquet on Thursday. The banquet, hosted by the Frankfort Area Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Farm Credit Mid-America, took place at Kentucky State University's Harold R. Benson Research and Demonstration Farm.
The event was a celebration of the important role that agriculture plays in the Frankfort community. Farmers were honored for their contributions to the local economy and food supply. FFA chapters also benefited from the event, as proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorships will be used to support their programs.
The banquet also featured a guest speaker, who discussed the challenges and opportunities facing farmers in today's world. Attendees also had the opportunity to learn about new agricultural technologies and trends.
The Farm-City Banquet is a valuable event that recognizes the hard work and dedication of farmers and supports the future of agriculture.
