The Kentucky Farm Bureau has announced the certification of five new farm markets as part of its Certified Farm Market Program, which aims to support local agriculture and strengthen rural communities across the state.
To qualify for the program, farm markets must meet a variety of criteria related to their products, marketing, and customer service. Certified markets are able to display the program's logo and receive marketing and promotional support from the Kentucky Farm Bureau.
The five newly certified markets offer a wide range of locally grown produce, meats, and other products, and have demonstrated a commitment to providing high-quality products and excellent customer service. By supporting these and other certified farm markets, consumers can help to promote sustainable agriculture and boost the economies of rural communities throughout the state.
The Certified Farm Market Program is just one example of the many initiatives underway across the country to promote local agriculture and connect farmers with consumers. By working together to support local food systems, we can create stronger, more resilient communities and ensure a more sustainable future for our food supply.
