The Commonwealth of Kentucky and Kentucky Personnel Cabinet announced their featured keynote speaker for the 2022 Governor's Conference on Leadership, Equality, Accessibility and Diversity, Nov. 16-18.
The keynote speaker for this year's virtual conference is DeDe Halfhill. As a renowned leadership expert and retried United States Air Force Colonel, Halfhill was deployed twice to Iraq and served in the military for 25 years. During this time, she became a trusted senior advisor to our nation's highest ranking military leaders.
Halfhill's insights and candid approach to leadership has been featured in widely acclaimed outlets, including Brene Brown's New York Times Bestseller Dare to Lead and on 60 Minutes. She is widely recognized for championing a different approach to leadership -- one that embraces emotions and vulnerability to build trust and empower people in meaningful ways.
On Nov. 16, Halfhill will share with attendees her presentation entitled "Lessons in Leadership to Inspire Courage, Connect on Purpose and Engage with Humanity in the Workplace". This topic will address how leaders can build authentic connections, build trust and empower others in a meaningful way.
