The Kentucky Forage and Grassland Council, in partnership with the UK Cooperative Extension Service and the Master Grazer Program, is hosting a specialized fencing workshop on November 14, 2024, at Greenacres in Lewis Township, Felicity, Ohio.
This one-day event is crafted for producers and agricultural professionals keen to expand their knowledge of modern fencing techniques and durable construction practices.
Participants will engage in both classroom instruction and hands-on sessions, learning to install two types of fencing: fixed knot woven wire and electrified smooth high tensile.
These methods are designed to enhance durability and reliability, ensuring fences withstand the elements and support livestock management.
The registration fee is $35 per participant, covering a workshop notebook, safety glasses, hearing protection, refreshments, and a catered lunch. This fee not only supports the event but ensures that each attendee has access to all necessary materials and safety gear.
The deadline for registration is set two weeks before the event, so early sign-up is encouraged. For more information or to register, contact Caroline Roper at caroline.roper@uky.edu. Don’t miss this chance to gain valuable insights and practical skills in advanced fencing techniques.
